Jacob's Skyscraper

Last week Valerie brought Jacob up to the house and just hung out.  It was really nice.  Jacob got to spend some one on one with grampa.  They stayed in the toy room and pulled out all the toys so they could play.  You can see it all over the floor.  But as long as they had fun that is what counted!!  Grampa was home for a few days from truck driving and he really enjoyed the time with Jacob.  Jacob wanted to build a skyscraper.  Here he is when he first started I went in to take pictures and he let me know he was not ready!

Here they are and in the one below you can see the finishedskyscraper.  They had some stairs that were hooked on a bridge that Jacob was trying to figure out how to add it to the skyscraper so someone could walk up them, but they couldn't figure out how to make it work since the steps only went part of the way up.  And it has to be realistic!
After Jacob and grampa build the skyscraper they moved on to other things, like coloring pictures to hang on grammas fridge.  Jacob didn't have any pictrures on the fridge yet so he needed to get some done!  Now he does!!
Grampa says that one of the hardest things about being driving a truck and being gone so much is missing out on the time with the grandkids.  He feels like he has to play catch up when he does get home and he doesn't feel like there is ever enough time!

Jordan and Green

So, here we were sitting at a ballgame - and freezing by the way!- Anyway, Lorelie was there watching her grandson Kevin play and she gave the kids a candy.  Actually, she had a bag of candy and let them pick out what the wanted, anyway, Jordan picked a green sucker and was quite proud of the green tongue!  He kept showing it to me so I took a picture and showed him what it looked like....and he liked it!!!

BALLGAMES, BALLGAMES, BALLGAMES!!!

So Dallen and Brandon started playing baseball and they are having a lot of fun.  The pictures are added a little crazy, but that's how I roll!  Anyway, this one is of Brandon batting.  Yes it is coach pitch and yes that is his coach sitting on the bucket to pitch to him!  I always find that amusing.  Brandon is quite the little slugger.  He throws himself into that ball and almost knocks the skin off of it!!

This one is of Dallen he is running to first base.  He was having a time hitting the ball, he got hit by the ball a lot last year and I think he just had a mental block but now he has come out swinging, and he is busting that ball!!  Great job Dallen!!

A Lazy Sunday Afternoon

So I was sitting at home just watching tv feeling kinda lonely, knowing the kids all were busy with their own families and then Steve called......and Riley came to spend the night with me!!  We went to the park and Riley rode some of the riding toys ..... not really they just bounce but he had fun!  This is the park across from my house.

When we finished at the park he had a "really good idea" to go to the river and throw rocks in the water.  That is what his papa and I used to do with him last summer.  So while we were there I called Randy and let them talk.
Here he is with his lttle pile of rocks, he had some big ones but he threw those in "for his papa" and would just giggle when they splashed water all over him!
After throwing rocks in the river he went to the play ground by the river and went down the slide about a hundred times!!  He loved it!

GIDDEYUP!!!

Jordan and Riley are such good friends!!!  We spent the afternoon one day last week at Mandy's since the boys hadn't gotten to play recently and they had a blast!!!  They run through the house squeeling and laughing and chasing each other!!!  Here are a few pictures of them riding the rocking "elephant" ..... yes, elephant, not horse but it didn't matter they loved it!!

Bailey was feeling a little left out and wanted in on the fun, so Jordan let her have a ride with Riley.

After the Easter egg hunt as the family was comming in I took a few more pictures....

Tianna, 11yrs old and a young woman is growing up so fast!!!  She even got sunglasses, the ones she's wearing, and ear rings in her basket

Dallen is 10 yrs. old now and is playing baseball and really loving it.  He has a sense of humor that is so funny and will catch you off guard...you really don't expect it from him he is usually quiet.
Brandon is 8 yrs. old and loves to play baseball also.  He is also the "class clown"  he is quite the little comedian.  He did magic tricks for his talent show and everyone got to see his funny side.
Jacob is 4 yrs old and quite the handsome little guy.  He loves to play ouside and ride his bike, he just got a new one and his dad says that when he takes off his training wheels he will let him get a dirt bike!
Jordan is a little cutie!  He is 2 yrs old and so sweet.  He knows his nana likes eyeore and tells his mom that it is nanas favorite....and he is right!  He likes to play kichen and fix food for you to eat.
Riley is 2 yrs. old and a little sweetie.  He loves the "cars" and "cars 2" cars and that is een how his mom and dad got him pottie trained...he got a new car everytime he went to the pottie!
Bailey is 11 months and such a cutie!  Look at all her hair!!  She has started crawling and goes everywhere and gets into everything she can reach....She is like a little vaccume cleaner!
Here the boys are inside checking out their goods....have to see what all candy you get!!

Joe and Jacob counting his eggs to make sure he got all of his.
One of my favorite things about getting together is watching my boys as they put their heads together and talk and laugh and tell jokes.  Here they are actully looking at dirt bikes on Joe's phone.  Joe just bought one and  Stephen would like to so they can go riding together.

Easter

Easter was such a great day!  Randy got to be home for Easter!  After church on Sunday Mandy, Joseph and Stephen with their families all came for dinner.  We had ham, corn on the cob, funeral potatoes, rolls with honey butter and mississippi mud for desert.  After dinner the dads and Randy went out and hid the eggs or the Easter egg hunt.  Here are picture of the boys while they were waiting to be able to go out and find their eggs.

Jordan, Dallen, Brandon, Jacob an Riley
Tianna in her sunglasses hunting her eggs.  Each kid had 25 eggs, 1 golden egg (with $2 in it).  They seemed to enjoy the hunt!!
Jacob found one of his eggs in a littl spout on the house!  Look at all those eggs!!
Brandon found one of his eggs by the deck in the snow...yes we still had snow on the ground!
Jordan was finding his eggs and he was so happy!! He would run go pick up another one!
Riley found a lot of his eggs in the snow mound on the back deck!
Bailey got her eggs and would shake one as hard as she could.  She would just shake it and shake it til it popped open and all the candy fell out on the ground, then she tried to pick it up and eat it.
Dallen got some pointers from his dad.
Jacob had a pile of his eggs and was still finding more
Dallen found all of his eggs.....even his golden one in record time!!
